50 Summer Fun Ideas

Summer Fun List Printable

Every summer our family sits down in the late spring to put together our Summer Fun List.  We think up ideas of activities we want to do while the kids are out of school, road trips we might want to take, new places to visit, old favorites to visit, crafts and science experiments, outdoor activities to do, and just family time together activities. We don't always get to do all the items on our list, but we have a great time trying!

    1. Thanks! The solar oven smores were fun to put together (my girls loved to get the mini pizza we used for the box too!). I know what you mean about the rain! I have some tomatoes I want to plant, but they are sitting there waiting since we have had so much rain too.

  3. Thank you so much for the great list, my little man is almost 2.5 and I'm already stressing about what I'm going to do this summer. He LOVES being outside, but I live in AZ, and can't bring him out when it's 110 out! There are definitely some fun things I can do with him on here!

  15. I'm going to be borrowing some ideas off your list.... like feed the ducks! BUT I have to point out as I learned a couple years ago that bread is not good for ducks. I go to our local pet store and buy chicken feed. We love doing this and it has been probably since last summer when we last went so a very good reminder to add this! We also plan to incorporate s'mores in our summer... http://joannwoolley.blogspot.com/2015/06/smores-21-ways-summer-bucket-list.html ... We are going to spend some time at the beach and go to the county fair and make use of our museum pass to Balboa Park. Summer countdown is on!

    1. Thanks for your comment about the ducks Joann. Do you know if regular bird food is okay for them? We have a bunch of that we could take with us.

It sounds like you have a great summer planned! The county fair is always so much fun! Where we live, all the cities within 30 minutes have their own festivals (Rodeo Days, Strawberry Days, Onion Days, Freedom Days) during the summer. We usually visit at least 2 or 3. =)
