Thrifty Finds - Handbags

I love to buy new purses or bags, but I don't like paying full price at stores, so I look at thrift stores.  I have found bags that I use for different occasions, bags of different styles, some for my girls, and some for gifts.  The great thing about thrift shopping is if you look hard enough, you can find some great deals.

I'll start with my best deal.  This is the only name brand handbag that I have pictured.
I bought this Tommy Hilfiger handbag for .50, yes you read that correctly 50 cents!  I searched on Ebay for this cute green plaid handbag and you can buy it online for $9.99 - $26.99  At one point, I saw someone asking $45 for it!  I carry this bag all the time, it is the perfect size for a water bottle, keys, wallet, cell phone and planner.  I've used it quite a few times when bringing a crochet project with me when my girls have had guitar or soccer.

This is a fun little sparkly purse that I let my daughters use, which I bought for .25.  They like to have a purse when we go to the store so they can bring their money to buy a special treat.

This is a larger bag I sometimes carry, which I bought for $1.00.  It is great for when we are going to the zoo, visiting the gardens, or a trip to the movies.  I can carry extra clothes, snacks, and drinks in this bright bag.

I love this purple bag that I bought for .75.  It is a much smaller bag and I usually only use this when my hubby and I go on a date.  It is the perfect size for my cell phone, lip balm, and my wallet.

This last bag I bought for .50.  It is a scripture carrier that my youngest daughter uses.  She loves the bright colors and flowers.  This type and size of scripture tote generally sell for $7.99 or so.

I have seen Coach bags at the thrift store I go to as well.  Keep your eyes peeled and you can find a great name brand purse for yourself, or one you can sell to make a little profit!

Note:
Just so you know, I had the cutest thrifty find makeover project to share with you.  In my head the project was wonderful and I couldn't wait to actually work on it. I gathered my supplies and got started.  One thing I learned: when the jar of Mod Podge says to let your original layer dry.....follow the directions.  So, my project is delayed for a week.  Thankfully I have another sheet of the same cute scrapbook paper so I can do the project when I have a little more time.  So definitely come back next week to see it!

    1. Thanks for stopping by Sydney! I like the sparkly one too, but it's too small for me. My girls love to use it though and say it's their "fancy bag".
